School Lunches

Little Foodies, great food for growing minds

At our school, we want every child to enjoy a lunchtime that feels welcoming, nutritious and fun. That is why we are proud to offer Little Foodies, the primary school catering service created by Polaris Multi-Academy Trust to bring high-quality meals to all pupils.

We believe that school meals should support healthy habits, spark curiosity and help children feel excited about eating well. Our Little Foodies menus are filled with fresh ingredients, balanced dishes and plenty of variety. Pupils can choose from tasty hot meals, colourful vegetarian options and familiar favourites that provide comfort and energy for the rest of the day.

We work hard to make lunchtimes calm, friendly and well-organised. Our dining spaces are inviting, and our staff encourage children to try new things while feeling confident and supported. As a parent, you can be reassured that your child is eating well, enjoying their food and building a positive relationship with mealtimes.

Little Foodies helps us give every child great food, a happy lunchtime and the fuel they need to learn, play and grow. Children are also welcome to bring a packed lunch if you prefer. School meals cost £2.50 per day and should be booked in advance through ParentPay.

Universal Free School Meals

All children in reception, year one and year two are entitled to a free school meal each day. This is provided automatically in all state funded schools. If you would prefer your child to bring a packed lunch instead, please let the school office know.

Why should you still apply for free school meals if your child is in reception, year one or year two?

Even though your child already receives a free meal at this age, it is still important to complete a free school meal application if you think you may be eligible. When a child qualifies, the school receives extra funding called Pupil Premium. This is worth around £1300 per year and helps us provide additional support, resources and opportunities to help children thrive.

The funding continues for up to six years, even if your circumstances change. Completing the application makes a significant difference to the support we can offer, so we encourage all eligible families to apply.
